I’m building a career in mortgage lending while continuing to learn about real estate, trading, and investing. I’m interested in how people understand money, evaluate risk, buy homes, and build something of their own.
But a career is only one part of a life. I’m also a husband, a father, and someone working on his mental and physical health. I care about ambition, but I also care about honesty, balance, family, and being present.
This site is the bridge between those parts of me. I’ll share what I’m learning about mortgages and homeownership, what I’m exploring in markets and business, and what helps me grow as a person. I’m not presenting myself as having everything figured out. I’m documenting the work.

Look beyond principal and interest. Taxes, insurance, possible mortgage insurance, association dues, utilities, and maintenance can affect your total costs. Which costs apply depends on the property and financing.
No. A down payment is the portion of the purchase price paid upfront rather than financed. Closing costs are separate transaction and financing expenses. Ask the lender for a breakdown of both.
Review your income, recurring debts, savings, and a comfortable housing budget. Ask which documents the lender needs, and share sensitive information only through their approved secure channel.
